Horimono is the traditional Japanese term
for Japanese style full-body tattoos.
It is not as widely used nowadays as the
word Irezumi, even though it is in fact ol-
der, and a lot more respectful.
All traditional tebori (hand-tattooing) ma-
sters names' start with "Hori" - which co-
mes from "carving".
